I associate dfsg in the package's name as something to know that the original
tarball has been somehow modified to comply with the DFSG. In this case, the
source was modified to not ship libs that are already available in Debian, so
I *think* the name must not be modified (ie., 1.0~beta5 would be just fine).
AFAIU, git-buildpackage needs a tag in the upstream branch to be consistent
with the package's name in debian/control. In this case, we could either re
tag 1.0~beta5 or just misuse dfsg for this time :-)
Of course, none of the above is crucial for me (I think in english the correct
phrase would be "no big feelings"), so wichever swits you better is fine for
me :-)
