Several softwares/scripts are using vtk to display images (slicer, itksnap, 
vtk-examples). 
Some of them are not able to display correctly images (slicer, itksnap): the 
windows contain only black pixels, except a small number of colored pixels, 
looking like a bad memory access or bad allocation. 
In the other hand, the vtk-examples do not have the same bug.
