I'll have to check the font size problem (this difference may be small,
and with the older version, I needed to zoom to get full readability,
so that the main problem is the zoom).
Here the "Show grid" option doesn't work either. And the coordinates
displayed at the bottom don't change. I saw a similar problem a long
time ago in the past (under Mac OS X, IIRC), but I can't find a trace
of this problem in my archives. This is reproducible with:
$ gnuplot -persist <<EOF
plot '-' using 1:2 t '' with line
0 0
10 10
e
EOF
(this is the usual way to run gnuplot from scripts), but not in
interactive use (i.e. when typing commands at the prompt).
