Package: libatlas-base-dev
Version: 3.8.3-27
Severity: important

When trying to link programs with the static lapack library, the linker does
not find the libs libblasf77.a and libatlas.a because the links to them are
missing in /usr/lib.

This can be resolved by adding
" --slave /usr/lib/libf77blas.a libf77blas.a /usr/lib/atlas-base/libf77blas.a \
--slave /usr/lib/libatlas.a libatlas.a /usr/lib/atlas-base/libatlas.a "
to the first call to update-alternatives in the postinst file /var/lib/dpkg/info/libatlas-base-dev.postinst.
