This happens because /usr/share/doc/gnuplot is a symlink to gnuplot-nox
on the system but not in the gnuplot package.  The gnuplot package needs
to remove that symlink in its preinst script.

Problem introduced in commit 2a96f2e1692c which removed the
/usr/share/doc symlink in the package but forgot to add the preinst.
