Thanks for the hint - I guess I would have noted.

One remaining question:  What about

   http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=debian-science/packages/scotch.git;a=blob;f=debian/patches/format-security.patch

Should I include this or not?  Otherwise I can confirm that I separated
the bug-fix-only part.
