What I can tell you is that the current, official, the lib64gmp package work
really well on powerpc (I run a testsuite for it every day:
http://pari.math.u-bordeaux.fr/buildlog.html) , but I do not have much time to
tracking unofficial packages. I expect the speed will be identical.
