I write in connection with current paraview4.0.0~rc package. The problem is that when loading HDF5 file, the program crashes. It produces a warning of this kind:

variable 'HDF5_DISABLE_VERSION_CHECK' to a value of '1'.
Setting it to 2 or higher will suppress the warning messages totally.

With HDF5_DISABLE_VERSION_CHECK=1 the program works normally. The mismatch is probably caused by compiling the package against HDF1.8.10 from unstable. This requires either recompilation of paraview, or upgrade of HDF5 in testing. I cannot resolve this myself.
