It would be nice if you could close the bug from the Debian changelog

Instead of this

+  * Added missing dependencies for test target
+  * Generate cleaner pkgconfig files
+  * Install convenience header /user/include/polybori.h


write

I would be cleare about the generated part and explain that you added a patch

+ * debian/patch
     - 0002-Generate-clean-.pc-files-from-upstream.patch (new)
       Generate cleaner pkgconfig files (Closes:XXXXXX)
