Rene,

that I created that Repo on February 2015. Wookey didn't know the existence of
that Repos till last weekend.

I created that repo under debian-science because:
- it's a dependency of a debian-science package (suite, ROS)
- it's the team that I mainly work on and I get better support
- I didn't know that pkg-multimedia had any interest in that package.

The history of that package is a pain. Sébastien Barthélémy began to working
on in 2010 [1]. He packaged it and also minizip [2]. But as minizip came from
a source that was in debian (zip)[3], hhe had some problems (collada-dom needs
minizip). The question was that till jessie, minizip was not in debian [4].
Four years later.

I don't know personally Sébastien Barthélémy, but I can image how frustrating
could be for him work a lot in collada-dom and finally not see that package in
debian.

I would prefer not move collada-dom. I'm not in multimedia team and I have not
seen any interest from pkg-multimedia about that package in the last years,
although I understand your propose.

Best regards,

Leopold
