Dear Maintainer,

  * What led up to the situation?
Trying to run hdfview
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
At the shell, run hdfview, either with or without a file argument.
   * What was the outcome of this action?
A warning message:
[warning] /usr/bin/hdfview: No java runtime was found
then hdfview starts up, but cannot view an HDF file.
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
No warning message, and the ability to view an HDF file.
