I removed -ansi flag for architectures: mips*, i386, amd64.
For i386 architecture build failed with error:

> qr....Makefile:211: recipe for target 'check' failed
> make[2]: *** [check] Terminated
> ../Makefile.subdirs:91: recipe for target '../build/d_mat/test/t-qr_RUN' failed
> make[3]: *** [../build/d_mat/test/t-qr_RUN] Terminated
> E: Caught signal ‘Terminated’: terminating immediately
> debian/rules:28: recipe for target 'override_dh_auto_test' failed
> make[1]: *** [override_dh_auto_test] Terminated
> debian/rules:9: recipe for target 'build-arch' failed
> make: *** [build-arch] Terminated
> E: Build killed with signal TERM after 150 minutes of inactivity

For mips and mipsel architectures we had a error:
> ZZ_to_fmpz....Illegal instruction
> make[2]: *** [check] Error 132
> Makefile:211: recipe for target 'check' failed

This is resolved with new version of ntl package.
Now, build is successful for all architectures except i386.

Sorry for a late response, I see that you have already removed ansi flag for all architectures.

I am not sure why test d_mat/test/t-qr hangs in this case and why ansi flags fixs this issue.

Radovan
