Bug#799262: prospects for Python 3 bindings?

What are the prospects of getting a python3-opencv package now that
OpenCV 3 itself has been packaged [1]?

The lack of Python 3 bindings for OpenCV is becoming a pressing
problem for me and for others. Would be most happy to help test out
any experimental packages.
