PDL package update and POC

Dear Debian-Science-Maintainers,

I'm hoping to contact the current pdl package maintainer for debian.
The current package is years out of date.  If possible, I would like
to update to the current PDL-2.015 or later as there are a very large
number of bugs fixed and platform compatibility enhancements.

I've tried emailing Henning Glawe but have received no response for
a year or more.
