Removing diet from Debian?

Hi,

https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/diet

diet has:
- 1 upload in 2012,
- 4 RC bugs,
- was not in jessie, and will not be in stretch and
- the email address of the original uploader Haïkel Guémar
  is no longer functional [1]

Does anyone plan to get that package back into shape,
or would removal be an option?
