Thanks Peter. I'm going to upload that to Ubuntu.

For reference, I saw an additional FTBFS due to confusion between
CXXFLAGS and CPPFLAGS. Patch for that is attached, but it looks like
upstream has dropped autotools in favour of CMake anyway so maybe it
won't be needed.
