Bug#902401: gfsview: missing source: debian/Makefile.in

severity -1 normal

Hello Helmut,

thank you for bug report. Makefile.in was needed for some reasons.
If it will be removed, not sure the package will compile, needs to be
checked. Anyway, the file is in a human-readable format, though generated.
I do not think there are some legal problems with it. Thus I have
reduced the bug`s severity.

There are also no problems with the license of all files including debian/*
files. I never (or extremely rarely) put the license of debian-files explicitly
because according to Debian Social Contract (2):

> "We will give back to the free software community"

So all of my work (mostly in debian/*) is compatible with upstream
license by default.

Anyway, thanks for double check the package. If you want, feel free
to join as the package maintainer, because the package is "semi-orphaned".
The only maintainer listed in the "Uploaders-filed" is the upstream author
and is not too much active in Debian.

Best regards

Anton
