Package: cimg-dev,libgmic-dev
Severity: serious
User: debian-qa at lists.debian.org
Usertags: piuparts
Control: found -1 2.4.1-2
Control: found -1 2.3.6+dfsg-1

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package failed to install
because it tries to overwrite other packages files.

>From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

  Selecting previously unselected package libgmic-dev.
  Preparing to unpack .../5-libgmic-dev_2.4.1-2_amd64.deb ...
  Unpacking libgmic-dev (2.4.1-2) ...
dpkg: error processing archive /tmp/apt-dpkg-install-gHJoKE/5-libgmic-dev_2.4.1-2_amd64.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/include/CImg.h', which is also in package cimg-dev 2.3.6+dfsg-1
dpkg-deb: error: paste subprocess was killed by signal (Broken pipe)
  Errors were encountered while processing:
   /tmp/apt-dpkg-install-gHJoKE/5-libgmic-dev_2.4.1-2_amd64.deb

Adding Breaks/Replaces/Conflicts is probably not the correct
solution in this case.

cheers,

Andreas
