This seems similar to an issue reported in the FreeCAD forums [1]. If it
is the same issue, there seems to be a problem with the
update-alternatives scripts. As a temporary workaround, can you try
running `sudo update-alternatives --config freecad` and picking either
the -python2 or -python3 option? You may need to install freecad-python3
first before that command works, if you only have freecad-python2 installed.
