Doubt about how to proceed when a project change its name

Hi all:

One of my packages has been renamed completely (the project name
included). While I don't have problems handling with package renaming, I
have a couple of doubts:

1. Should I rename the current repository or should I create a new one
and leave the current one as it is now?

2. What should I do with the changelog? Leave the current entries as
they are now or start one from scratch.
