Hello,

It's been over two months since this bug report was filed.
It's been even longer since gtk-doc 1.32 was uploaded to experimental.
And much longer since the relevant change was done upstream.

Since there was no visible progress on getting the problem on your side
fixed, I figured there's no point in holding by breath any longer.
I've thus went ahead and uploaded the new gtk-doc-tools version to
unstable. This means your package now will fail to build from source
in unstable. I'm thus raising the severity accordingly.

Please see the advice in the original bug report for how to fix this
issue.
