This happened when python-statsmodels was removed in 0.10.1-1, and the
documentation was hence moved from /usr/share/doc/python-statsmodels to
/usr/share/doc/python-statsmodels-doc. 0.10.2-1 (in salsa) includes
your suggested fix.
0.9.0-5 -> 0.10.2-1 works, but 0.9.0-5 -> 0.10.1-5 -> 0.10.2-1 leaves
behind a /usr/share/doc/python-statsmodels/{html,examples}, with
contents that look like 0.10.1's
/usr/share/doc/python-statsmodels-doc/{html,examples}, and no owner
known to dpkg.
Should the package attempt to clean this up (and if so is there a better
method than unconditionally deleting those directories), or is
permanently leaving this behind (to become more and more obsolete, and
potentially be read by users looking for the current documentation) the
best that can be safely done?
(And is it a bug that piuparts.debian.org says it last tested
statsmodels 0.9.0-6, and doesn't seem to know it should be testing the
newer version?)
