Dear Debian libxsmm package maintainer,

After looking into the package you maintain (libxsmm,
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/libxsmm), I found that this package
received no updates since its initial release in 2018 and is not in
good shape (with RC bugs). As a result, I am filing an ITS (Intent to
Salvage) request against your package according to section 5.12 of
Debian's Developers' Reference [1].

Please let me know if you are still willing to maintain this package.
According to the criteria listed at [2], I am supposed to upload a Non-
maintainer Upload (NMU) of this package onto DELAYED/7 after 21 days
(July 7, 2020) to continue with package salvaging. Since this package
is also team-maintained under Debian Science Team, I will be uploading
team upload to fix release-critical bugs first and make another upload
onto DELAYED/0 after 28 days (July 14, 2020) to take over package
maintenance.

My current plan is to fix those RC bugs first. The detailed plan is:

* (Build-)depend on sse4.2-support to ensure SSE4.2 support
* Disallow packaging building on non-x86 non-64bit architectures
* Drop python2
* Package new upstream release, if feasible

If you find it necessary to pause the ITS process at any time, please
let me know *immediately* by replying this bug report.

Thank you for your previous work in Debian and looking forward to your
reply.
