Package: coinor-cbc
Version: 2.10.5+ds1-3
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: alex.stapleton at gmail.com

Dear Maintainer,

The coinor-cbc package is built with debug flags enabled that result in
it crashing on inputs that should not cause it to crash.

An example problem is provided in this GitHub issue https://github.com/coin-or/Cbc/issues/462
and there is input from the upstream maintainer that says asserts should
not be enabled in normal use.
