I'm raising the severity since this is blocking testing migration
of xsimd.
Please fix this issue in the near future, this is currently blocking
testing migration of a larger numerical library stack transition.
The armhf and ppc64el autopkgtest failures are a side effect of the
FTBFS on these architectures, Paul Gevers from the release team has
added a hint to ignore the autopkgtest failures on armhf and ppc64el
for now.
