Hello Martin,
I was looking at some random bug reports and tried to reproduce
this crash, but unfortunately it did not happen in my minimal test VM.

Maybe you could try to capture a backtrace of the crash for the 
maintainer. The very least might be to execute 'catchsegv gumme' at the 
command line, but way better would be to follow [1] with debug symbols
installed and print a backtrace with gdb.
