Bug#1042412: libmpich-dev: parallel gfortran prog fails with error

Hi,
I confirm a problem in upgrading mpich from debian bullseye to bookworm.

In fact is also appeared on another independent system I upgraded.

It seems to me (though, since I did many attempts I am not 100% sure) that it
is due to errors in the wrapper and binary files installed in /usr/bin (eg.
mpifort etc.). In fact, at once I found installed the openmpi wrapper files
(all binary files, coming from the package openmpi-bin) instead of the
corresponding mpich files (text files). This in spite of the fact that I never
tried to install openmpi. I do not know if openmpi-bin was required by some
other package.
Apparently, I resolved with the following:

uninstalled openmpi-bin
reinstalled mpich

This worked!
