Package mpi-c was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `mpi-c.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable

This was changed in:

It does matter now that MPICH has become the default on 32-bit.
The correct place for a mpi-c.pc symlink might be mpi-default-dev,
pointing to mpich.pc or ompi-c.pc depending on the default on the
architecture?
