Hi Stephan,
While trying to prepare an experimental NMU of vecgeom for the 64-bit time_t
transition, I found that the existing package ftbfs in unstable:
-- Compiling for SSE4.2 SIMD architecture
CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:393 (find_package):
Could not find a configuration file for package "embree" that is compatible
with requested version "3.1".
The following configuration files were considered but not accepted:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/cmake/embree-4.3.0/embree-config.cmake, version: 4.3.0
/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/cmake/embree-4.3.0/embree-config.cmake, version: 4.3.0
-- Configuring incomplete, errors occurred!
This blocks us from preparing an NMU of vecgeom for the ABI transition on
armhf. Since vecgeom's libraries have no reverse-dependencies in the
archive, we will ignore this package for now. If a fix for vecgeom becomes
available, feel free to reach out to have the t64 transition applied to the
package.
