evolver fails the last two autopkg tests with glibc 2.39 on amd64. 
Currently only seen in Ubuntu noble.

The segfaults are also seen when building without link time 
optimization, and when building with -O0.

However the build shows many format-overflow and stringop-overflow 
warnings already present in the Debian build.
