Package: kbibtex
Version: 0.10.0-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I have packaged a development snapshot (9e51a566) of upstream which builds
against QT6 and Kf6. My understanding is that Kf5 is going to be removed
for trixie, so getting a port of kbibtex to Kf6 is critical (if kf5 is indeed
going away). I have tried to open a conversation with upstream [1], but I
have not heard back yet.

I had originally hoped to cherry-pick changes to get 0.10.y compiling with
Qt6/Kf6, but after trying a big, I'm not sure there's much value to this
(upstream is refactoring code in the 0.10 branch, and the Qt6 removed some
XML code prompting upstream to implement a big part of the functionality
of the xml pattern library that was removed).

I can clean up my changes to the kbibtex packaging if there is interest
in moving to the development snapshot.

Best,
Antonio Russo
