Thanks for your message.

I have a slight preference for accepting a merge request on the valgrind
repository
over an NMU of the package without changes to the git repository.

Would you mind sending the changes as a merge request instead please?

I’ll find some time to look at the package early next week.
Maybe I can get valgrind 3.25 uploaded, including all required fixes.
