Hello. I believe this is why atlas-ecmwf FTBFS in this way:

Error: No such option: -O

I'm raising the severity because this creates FTBFS bugs in other packages.
(Unless you tell me this is not ok and I should file indepentent bugs
against all affected packages instead so that they implement some workaround)
