Hi Drew!

I just tried running the autopkgtest using lxc and I see these same
errors.  Here are the relevant lines of my .sbuildrc:

$autopkgtest_opts = ['--apt-upgrade', '--', 'lxc', '-s', 'autopkgtest-testing'];
$autopkgtest_root_args = '';
$run_autopkgtest = 1;

I have no idea where these errors originate from.

There are also lots of errors in the test_ipythonconsole.py tests; I
wonder whether this might be to do with a font file not being present?
I don't have time to check myself, but one thing I always do when
upgrading Spyder is to do a careful analysis of any upstream changes
in the test environment, for example new packages.
