Hi,

Although the "BSD-4-clause" license has historically been accepted into
Debian, it's preferred if upstream can be asked to forego the outdated
and generally annoying "Advertising" clause which is considered 
obnoxious by requiring anyone advertising (e.g.) Debian to mention every
two-bit contribution that is licensed under this license.

If you could talk to upstream about this that would be great.
