Hi Andreas,
The copyright-ferretting code was developed by me as a part of the DFSG
toolset - initially we were using SilverSearcher hunting for regular
expressions, but there are many ways that was getting too many false
positives and yet still not finding many things.
Now that I am home again (I had an excellent post-debconf holiday in
Argentina, Brazil and Peru :-) I am hoping to split this out into a
standalone tool. Also, now that recent GR is in our past, I can
contribute it to Debian.
