Hi!
While rebuilding the python related packages against the Python 3.15
version we found that python-escript fails to build from source:
https://debusine.debian.net/debian/r-python-python3.15/artifact/4856751/
From the log, the error seems to be:
cp
/build/reproducible-path/python-escript-5.6/doc/manpage/man1/run-escript.1
/build/reproducible-path/python-escript-5.6/debian/stage3/run-escript3.man
ln
/build/reproducible-path/python-escript-5.6/debian/stage3/bin/run-escript
/build/reproducible-path/python-escript-5.6/debian/stage3/bin/run-escript3
ln: failed to access
'/build/reproducible-path/python-escript-5.6/debian/stage3/bin/run-escript':
No such file or directory
While we ran into this error during the rebuild against Python 3.15, the
reproducible builds infrastructure is also running into this issue:
https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/debian/rb-pkg/unstable/amd64/python-escript.html
Thus, this is not a new problem and it should be solved right away.
Setting the severity to Serious.
