Hey Jeroen, we have it on our automatically generated "TODO" list of things to package because build/pkgs/ipywidgets/type says "standard" and not "optional", at least in Sage 7.3.

If it's optional as you say, well no harm in packaging it :) but then what shall we use as the "list of required packages"?
