Thanks for the suggestion.  I doubt we'll do a separate upload to fix
this, but we can definitely keep in mind should the packages be
updated for some other reason.  I'm sure you realize that you can just
run

perl /usr/share/doc/libxml-xerces-perl/examples/whatever.pl

even if they're not executable, but I'm pointing this out just in
case.

I'll leave this bug open as a reminder.  Thanks for the report!
