[xml/sgml-pkgs] Status of packages docbook-utils and docbook2x ?

Hi,

docbook2x version 0.8.7 was released on April 18, 2006, while the last
upload of the debian packages was on Sun, 18 Jul 2004, see #292046.

The last docbook-utils upstream release was in Nov 2004, so was the last
Debian upload, despite the patches that have been send : #394511 #399947
#214982 ..

Since docbook-utils is dead upstream and suffers of grave bugs like
#399947, an up to date docbook2x would be very helpful in debian !

Actually, it really prevent people for providing documentation easily
(at least in my case, I had to use tricks to avoid a broken manpage),
since no docbook2man is correctly working.

Since docbook2x is very active and manages both xml and sgml docbook, it
would be great to have it up to date :-)

I have no experience in maintaining packages, so I can't be very
helpfull in preparing an upload..
