Package: libxml2-utils
Version: 2.9.1+dfsg1-5+deb8u1
Severity: minor
Dear Maintainer,
The xmllint man page gives the impression that it summarises every
command available in the xmllint shell.
However, running `xmllint --shell` and then entering the `help` command
reveals that there are several commands available that are not
documented in the man page:
setbase URI
set xml_fragment
xpath expr
setns nsreg
setrootns
whereis
relaxng rng
grep string
It appears that some of these commands were added to xmllint >10 years
ago:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=149013
For a command not to be documented in the relevant man page would seem
to be a documentation bug. Please, therefore, could these commands be
be documented in the man page?
I am unsure whether or not this problem exists upstream.
Thanks,
- spk
P.S. Some informal but helpful documentation exists on the Web. For
