<DIV><FONT face=Arial>On both systems I ran an "apt-get upgrade"
command on, which upgraded (among many other things) my 1.1.8 versions of
the above packages to 1.1.12. When this occured, my apache would no longer
start/stop, but would fail with a message about an undefined symbol:

<DIV><FONT face=Arial>I simply downgraded back to 1.1.8 versions of the two
packages, and the problem was resolved. </FONT><FONT face=Arial>it seems
that PHP5 is dependent on an incompatibility with the new 1.1.12 xslt
