Please remain honest when closing bugs. There has been *no* request to
reproduce. You probably refer to #12 in the bug log? Besides being the
first reaction after almost 4 years it was *not* CC: to me (the BTS
does not send mails automatically to the submitter), so I was not
informed nor asked. I am usually rather responsive *if* I'm asked, and
I gladly provide more input if possible, but for it to help, you
should care about it in a more timely (and bug reporter friendly)
fashion.
Btw., the proper way would have been to tag this bug "unreproducible"
if you cannot reproduce it (I assume you tried?).

I just checked on my Etch/amd64 box and the bug is not reproducible,
but I don't have an alpha anymore where I could check.
But since I don't care much for pymol (at that time I was asked by
Andreas Tille to try science related programms on alpha an report,
something which you seem to be not interested in) and I cannot
reproduce the bug on amd64 I won't reopen this bug.
