With "it", do you mean bist or pkg-debichem git?

So far, debichem has stayed with subversion because all the current
maintainers are familiar with it, and at least I do not know git, nor do
I see a pressing need to use git for low branching/merging and
distributed development overhead projects like package management.

If you (and maybe others?) absolutely prefer git for package management,
then we can look into activating a debichem repository at
git.debian.org, but I am not totally convinced it makes sense to have
two repositories, what do the others think?

If you prefer to maintain bist on your own in collab-maint, that would
be fine as well, of course.
