[Debichem-devel] Bug#678188: rdkit: testsuite is disabled outright, instead of selectively

Source: rdkit
Severity: wishlist
Version: 201203-2

In the 201203-2, the testsuite was disabled on all architectures, due to
failing on just two...

I find it unacceptable =) and I wish I could set severity to serious,
but unfortunately that's not in line with the guidelines.

Can you please consider one of the following:

* mark the failing unit tests only as expect fail, and only on failing
  architectures

* make the testsuite run, but not fail the build on the two failing
architectures (possibly fail the build if it *does* pass)

* skip the testsuite on the failing architectures only.

Not running the testsuite leaves the door open for regressions and bugs
to slip in.

Please let me know what do you thing about the proposed alternatives. I
don't know much how to implement the first one, but I can provide
patches for the later two options, depending on which one you like best.

Regards,

Dmitrijs
