They released a new version and I backpatched the changes.

The question is whether we should roll a new orig tarball, or remove the
JSON code in a patch - I don't mind either way, it might be easier for
the release team to just approve a new revision, but if ftp-masters
insist on having the JSON stuff stripped from the tarball we can do that
as well.
