Apart from dropping 8.4 there are goals to multiarchify Tcl/Tk and
move to 8.6 as
a default. An after that we need some time to reveal and fix bugs. I agree that
there's no hurry, but the faster we migrate the more time will left
for bugfixing.

Good to hear this. Sorry, I didn't really check if it's pending before emailing
about NMU.
