yes, it is ready. I have tested it with 3.16.0-2. Please see my MR at https://salsa.debian.org/debichem-team/python-ase/merge_requests/1.

I have included it into Depends of python3-ase.

As said, I have tested the patch with 3.16.0-2. I will try it with 3.16.2-1 too.
