Package: gchempaint
Version: 0.14.17-1.1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
To reproduce the bug:
1. Create any chemical structure with wedge and dash bonds in gchempaint, and
save it in the ChemDraw Binary CDX format.
2. Open the .cdx file in ChemBioDraw. The dash bonds are the wrong way around
(the pointed ends are now wide, while the wide ends are now pointed).
3. Correct the dash bonds in ChemBioDraw and save it in the CDX format.
4. Open the corrected .cdx file in gchempaint. The dash bonds are the wrong way
around again.
Expected outcome: gchempaint should preserve the direction of the dash bonds
across saves between gchempaint and the proprietary ChemBioDraw software when
using the CDX file format.
Actual outcome: Dash bond directions are inverted.
Tested in:
- ChemBioDraw version 14.0.0.117 on Windows 10
- gchempaint version 0.14.17 on Debian 10
