[Debichem-devel] Bug#962130: r-cran-isospec: wrong name for R package

Package: r-cran-isospec
Version: 1.9.1-1
Severity: important

Hi,

isospec provides an R package (r-cran-isospec), but looking at the
IsoSpecR/DESCRIPTION file the name should be r-cran-isospecr (i.e.
with a final "R"). This is also confirmed by the package name at CRAN
(https://cran.r-project.org/package=IsoSpecR). This binary package
must be renamed.

Moreover, the d/rules file is bugged (would required another bug
report but lets talk a bit about it here for now) because the variable
{R:Depends} is not substituted. Consequently, the binary R package has
wrong dependencies (no dependency to r-base-core, r-api-, etc). As you
need to upload to NEW to fix the name of the package, it is possible
to split the source package and to use the archive from CRAN for the R
package. This will simplify the d/rules and fix the second issue.

Your package, your decision ;-)

Best,
Dylan
